These terms and conditions govern your participation in the 2025 African Audit Championship (“the Championship”). By participating, you agree to these terms.

1. Participation and Eligibility:

• Open Tournament: The Championship is an open tournament intended to promote the reputation and digital relevance of internal auditing.
• Individual and Team Participation: Participants may participate as individuals or in teams of three (3) internal auditors.
• Dual Participation: If you participate in a team, you will automatically participate in the individual competition.
• Eligibility: Any individual or team may participate, subject to these terms.

2. Championship Schedule:

• Kick-off Session: Monday, 25^th August 2025.
• Championship Start: Tuesday, 26^th August.
• Championship End: Friday, 3^rd October 2025
• Playoff (if necessary): In the event of a tie in Audit Challenge scores among the top ten (10) participants, a final playoff may be conducted prior to the Award Ceremony.
• Award Ceremony: Wednesday, 15^th October 2025
• End of Participation: All participation must be completed by the end of day Friday, 3^rd October 2025.

3. Technical Requirements:

• Internet Access: Participants must have access to a stable internet connection.
• Internet Browser: Participants must use a compatible internet browser. Google Chrome is recommended for optimal performance.
• Device Compatibility: The Championship platform is designed to be compatible with various devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and computers.

4. Ranking and Scoring:

• Gamified Training: The Championship utilises a gamified training platform with audit challenges.
• Audit Championship Points: Participants earn Audit Championship points for correctly answering Audit Challenge questions.
• Ranking Algorithm: The ranking is determined by a neutral algorithm based on accumulated Audit Championship points.
• Time Limits: Certain Audit Challenges may have time limits for completion.

5. Participation Flexibility:

• Time and Location Independence: Participants can participate at their own convenience, time, and location, within the Championship period.
• Championship Period: All participation must occur between the Championship start and end dates.

6. Information and Updates:

• Website and LinkedIn: Participants are encouraged to follow the official Championship website and LinkedIn page for updates and rankings.
• Ranking Display: The latest rankings of top-performing participants will be displayed on the official platforms.

7. Gamified Training:

• Serious Business Game Training: The Championship utilises a “Serious Business Game Training” format.
• Training Resources: Participants can access instructional videos and resources on the Championship website and YouTube portal.
• Practice Trainings: The 2025 African Audit Championship training package includes fifteen (15) gamified training sessions that can be used for practice prior to the commencement of the championship.

8. Team Registration:

• Team Size: Teams must consist of three (3) internal auditors.
• Registration: Teams can register together or be formed after individual registration through the Customer Success Team.

9. “Governance Audit Techniques” Gamified Training:

• Purpose: The “Governance Audit Techniques” gamified training is designed to equip audit professionals with essential skills for robust governance.
• Key Features:
  • Accessibility from anywhere with internet access.
  • Compatibility with various devices.
  • Personalised learning experience.
  • Flexible learning pace.

10. General Provisions:

• Changes to Terms: The Championship organisers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes.
• Disqualification: The Championship organisers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team for any reason, including but not limited to cheating, violation of these terms, or conduct deemed inappropriate.
• Liability: The Championship organisers shall not be liable for any damages or losses incurred by participants in connection with the Championship.
• Intellectual Property: All content and materials related to the Championship are the intellectual property of the Championship organisers.
• Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the championship organisers are located.

12. Cancellation policy:

• Confirmation of registration: The course registration of an attendee will only be finalised once the Leadership Academy has received an official Purchase Order or proof of payment. This must be provided no later than one week prior to the start date of the championship.
• Refunds: No refunds will be allowed if you missed the 2025 African Audit Championship.
• Access: You will have access for 12 months to all 15 online courses.

By participating in the 2025 African Audit Championship, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
